While Mayor Eric Adams and former Gov. Andrew Cuomo are at odds over who has the best shot at winning in November, Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani has been looking to expand his coalition.

That includes reaching out to key voting blocs, like the Jewish electorate — a diverse and large portion of the city.

Mamdani has received criticism from some in the Jewish community for, what they say, is his use of antisemitic rhetoric and his refusal to say that Israel should be a Jewish state.

David Greenfield, a longtime community leader and former city council member, joined NY1 political anchor Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Monday to discuss more.

He currently serves as the CEO of the group Met Council, a Jewish charity that serves New Yorkers in need.
