Met Council can offer New Yorkers improved access to crucial anti-hunger programs such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as Food Stamps. At Jewish Community Councils and community service locations across New York City, specialists can screen clients for eligibility and facilitate the submission of their application to the City of New York, in real time through the City’s online platform, Access HRA.
In addition to eligibility screenings and application assistance, Met Council can help participants with their recertification and certain case management requirements.
