Housing For The Elderly: Inclusionary Housing Program
This program intends to integrate low-income housing into the area in which it would not be economically viable. It provides an opportunity for households with less than 80% of the median income to enjoy the vitality of mid-Manhattan. Met Council has devoted these buildings entirely and exclusively to older adults, 62 and older.

Met Council has developed 716 units of federally financed housing in 7 separate buildings for low-income, independent, and elderly individuals and couples. These projects were financed through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Section 202 Program and grants from the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation.
