As Met Council’s Chief Financial Officer, Philip Kibel is responsible for directing the fiscal and accounting functions of all operations including the affordable housing portfolio and multi-million-pound emergency food bank and distribution program. In addition, he manages all broad finance-related functions including accounting, procurement, AR, AP, cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, contractual and statutory reporting.

Before joining Met Council, Philip was an Associate Managing Director in the corporate finance group at Moody’s Investors Service, where he managed a team that focused on the ratings of real estate investment trusts (REITs), real estate operating companies (REOCs) and gaming companies. The team performed extensive modeling, accounting, financial statements, and credit analysis for these companies domiciled in North and South America.

Prior to joining Moody’s, he was a Vice President with W. P. Carey & Co. LLC (WPC), a publicly traded real estate investment trust that specializes in corporate real estate financing using the corporate net-lease.

Philip, a New York Certified Public Accountant, is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He earned a BS in Accounting from Lehigh University and holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School.
