As Met Council’s Senior Director of Volunteer Services and Donor Relations, Shelby Brown oversees volunteer operations and community engagement across the five boroughs and the outer regions of New York and New Jersey.

Prior to joining the Met Council team in January 2021, Shelby worked for UJA-Federation of New York in their Philanthropic Leadership Group, where she was responsible for engaging donors in hands-on experiences in partnership with UJA’s network of nonprofits.

Shelby received her bachelor’s degree in Public Health from Tulane University, where she is currently a Master’s of Public Administration candidate, concentrating on Nonprofit Management and Strategic Philanthropy.
